Nina Dobrev covers Nylon February 2020. In the accompanying interview, the stunning 23-year-old ‘Vampire Diaries’ actress dishes on her latest endeavor, her Twitter dilemmas, her pet cats, doing more films, being really famous, and why she should be able to play a drug addict. “I want to be a punk or a sweetheart or a drug addict,” she told the magazine. The Nylon cover has a ’70s vibe and the inspiration behind Nina’s look is “vintage Vegas cowgirl”.
The ‘Vampire Diaries’ series on The CW in which Dobrev plays a double role, starring as Elena Gilbert and as Katherine Pierce, is the most popular show on the network with four million viewers a week. This fall, Nina Dobrev stars alongside Emma Watson, Logan Lehrman, and Paul Rudd in the highly anticipated movie ‘The Perks of Being a Wallflower.’
Described by the magazine as being smart, with an incredible energy and an awesome subject to photograph since she is extremely open to trying new things and taking fashion to a whole new dimension. Speaking about being really famous, the lovely actress admits that, “I can’t say I’m not interested in Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt and their family. But it’s something you fight really hard to preserve and keep private.”
In the interview with Nylon’s February 2020 issue, Nina Dobrev opens up and talks about doing more films and exploring new things. “I want to become a different person, and that’s what working in film allows. I want to be a punk or a sweetheart or a drug addict! There are so many things to explore… Sometimes they’ll be like, ‘She’s not plain enough.’ Or ‘She’s not edgy enough.’ That frustrates me. I feel like a blank canvas, and I wish people would be a little more open-minded,” she says.
Before getting the part in the super-famous ‘Vampire Diaries’ series, Nina had her first big break as Mia Jones in ‘Degrassi: The Next Generation’. On her former Degrassi costar, Aubrey Graham (Drake), the gorgeous actress confesses that, “He was so sweet. It’s almost weird to me that he’s a rapper and a sex symbol now. I remember being in the car going to a party, singing along with the radio, and somebody said ‘Isn’t that your buddy Drake?’ I was like, ‘Who’s Drake?’”
In the cover story Nina told Nylon that she loves her pet cats. “I’m gonna say [I am a] ‘cat woman,’ because ‘cat lady’ makes me sound 500 years old… But I love my furry friends. I even made a calendar for 2020. It’s called My Pussies: A Hairy Love Story. [Cats] just migrate to me. I’m pretty sure I was a cat in a past life,” the young actress says.
