Olivia Wilde might be one of the hottest celebrities on the face of the planet right now, but that doesn’t mean her life is as perfect. Apparently, this Hollywood hottie isn’t much different than the rest of us as she talks going through divorce in an interview with Marie Claire. Olivia Wilde covers the Marie Claire August 2020 issue where she lets her fans know what she’s feeling after ending marriage of 8 years with Italian filmmaker Tao Ruspoli.
Although she has been in a stable relationship that ended with a marriage, Olivia Wilde isn’t scared about being single again, though she states she does feel a bit wobbly. The bold, famous and beautiful people too experience life the same as the rest, fame being sometimes a factor of additional pressure as being a public person means sometimes having your life and difficulties exploited by the media. Despite the unfortunate situation of having to go through a divorce, Olivia isn’t sorry about the choices she has made throughout her life and is happy to have met her ex-husband.
Divorces usually end badly especially when it’s between the rich and famous, but in Olivia’s case as she states they are friends, and his family is her family. In an interview with Marie Claire for the August 2020issue, Olivia Wilde explains that the divorce she has gone through has been humbling.
“The trauma of the whole thing has been humbling, and for the first time I’m a bit wobbly. I’m a case of arrested development, in a way — from spending your 20s with someone who really loves you, as my husband did. But I think it’s healthy to spend time alone. You need to know how to be alone and not be defined by another person.”
Olivia seems to be a very strong woman who knows what she wants as she doesn’t regret her past decisions with regards to her getting married at just 20 years old. She says “even though it didn’t work, there’s nothing I regret about any of it. We’re friends; his family is my family. You always have a choice to feel angry and not be friends. But I can’t handle the idea of walking into a room and seeing someone I have bad blood with. I can’t keep any negative relationship with anyone.”
Not many people can be as positive after getting divorced, but it seems that Olivia definitely knows to look at the positive side of the entire situation as she says “I think it’s made me a better actress. Weakness is something we don’t like to admit we have. We hold it against people, until we experience it, and then we feel more compassion for it.”
Now Olivia is back on the market and we bet that men will be prepared to sweep her off her feet. However, this won’t be easy as Olivia says she has high standards when it comes to everything, so men, conquering this 28 year old hottie won’t be easy. She says: “I’m trying to be adult, entering the shark pool of dating, but I’m hopeless at it. In the end, maybe it’s just that I’m a ridiculous romantic. I have very high standards for every part of life — my work, my relationships, food, love. I can’t just pretend.”
With such a hot body and delicate, hard to overlook facial features, we bet Olivia won’t be single for long!
