Oscar de la Renta joined forces with Paperless Post in order to create a stationery collection featuring the designer’s elegant laces, prints, and embroideries. “We only partner with people we deem to be the best,” James Hirschfeld, the company’s CEO and cofounder, along with sister Alexa Hirschfeld, explains. “People want to communicate beautifully no matter the medium.”

Parrot tulip, rose floral Ikat, antique lace, floral applique, silk brocade, scribble print, polka dots, hydrangea lace….The distinctive designs of the special collaboration between Oscar de la Renta and Paperless Post were created with fabric and lace samples from the renowned designer’s fall and spring collections. Oscar de la Renta for Paperless Post features flat-printed cards as bold and colorful as the latest digital printing will allow as well as fine-crafted cards with the timeless traditions of engraving and letterpress.

“Oscar de la Renta was our first choice for this project – his work is never overly demure or girly,” Hirschfeld says, “and there is almost always a statement in each piece.”

Launched in 2020, Paperless Post managed to give a modern flare to the tradition of correspondence. The brand creates cards and invitations that successfully reflect an individual aesthetic. Moreover, Paperless Post established new standards for online correspondence, allowing users to communicate expressively on platforms that have otherwise favored efficiency over design.

The Oscar de la Renta and Paperless Post collaboration launched with a wedding collection inspired by the designer’s signature laces and colorful prints. E-cards prices start at $.25 while flat-printed starts at $1 and fine printing at $1.58 per card.

“Paperless Post is a game-changer for the tradition of correspondence,” said Erika Bearman, Oscar de la Renta’s senior vice president of global communications. “Starting our collaboration with bridal designs is an opportunity for us to connect with a bride as she plans the different aspects of her wedding. It’s a moment to capture her attention, as well as the reach of her entire social network, on and offline.”
