With not much longer to go until the hottest event of 2020, the Royal wedding of Prince William to Kate Middleton, the royal staff has done its best to send out the invitations to everyone on the guest list. Everyone who is getting Prince William and Kate Middleton’s wedding invitation can consider themselves lucky as it’s not every day one is faced with the opportunity to attend a Royal wedding.
This high-class event is set to be one of the most glamorous events of the year and everyone wants to take a glimpse at the event. Royal weddings are more than a girl could ever dream of, so no wonder the media is trying to get an inside scoop on the wedding details such as how the wedding dress will look like as well as the wedding invitations.
Unfortunately Kate Middleton’s wedding dress choice is kept under wraps and we probably won’t see the gown until the big day, but the media got a hold of the wedding invitation. The Royal wedding invitations are simple but have that vintage-glam, elegant look that they ought to have. The invitations are written on white stiff cards with gilded edges and feature an elegant gold lettering which is actually the insignia of the Prince’s grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. The rest of the writing is black and states the following:
“The Lord Chamberlain is commanded by the Queen to invite __________ to the Marriage of His Royal Highness Prince William of Wales, K.G. with Miss Catherine Middleton at Westminster Abbey on Friday, 29th April, 2020 at 11.00 a.m.”
Some of 1900 guests expected are also invited to attend a reception which is hosted immediately after the wedding ceremony, but the invitations were not released as the ceremony will be private. Everyone who receives such an invitation can consider him/herself honored as this is not an average wedding. Some of the world’s most renowned and well-connected people will be present at the Royal bash so who would want to miss out on such an event?!
According to the media, the dress code for the event is set to be formal, and the guests are asked to wear a military uniform, a tailcoat or a business suit. We can’t wait until the big day comes so we can see if the details raise up to the expectations!
