A famous designer releases a sketch of a beautiful dress for a famous celeb. What could possibly go wrong in this scenario? Firstly, because the sketch looks more like a very airbrushed photograph rather than a drawing and shows the star much thinner than she really is, with ultra long legs and with virtually non existing curves. Now, if there’s one thing that everyone knows about the singer it’s that she takes great pride in her curves. Her recent H&M campaign also revealed that she vehemently opposes Photoshop.
She did not stop at taking a verbal stand against such widespread practices. She went a step further and expressed her discontent by firmly asked the company to use only unedited photos of her. “When Beyonce found out they had edited the way her body really looked, she hit the roof. She’s a true diva and was furious that she had been given such a snubbing. Her people refused to give the pictures the green light so H&M were forced to use the originals,” an insider revealed back than.

Not long after the sketch was released on the luxury label’s official account, angry responses started flowing. The actual photo of Beyonce wearing the dress on tour revealed a sexy,confident woman who’s not afraid of showing off her best assets. When there are so many beautiful women in the world, why do designers – especially those who create seductive gowns to flatter a woman’s curves – insist on adhering to unrealistic and unattainable beauty standards instead? This is a question that continues to be on the minds of many fashionistas.
