The 2020 American Music Awards brought a high dose of glamor as celebrities put their best look forward in an attempt to capture the spotlight. The AMAs 2020 red carpet looks were quite varied being an eclectic mix of ladylike accents, sexy hints and trendy touches. Here are some of the stars that managed to stand out in style last night:
AMAs 2020 Dresses: Metallics & Sequins
Few things are more dazzling than opulent golden accents. With metallics being the most ubiquitous trend of the moment, it was only natural to see celebs rocking trendy ensembles revolving around the motif. Taylor Swift went sexy with a strapless cutout gold sequin Julien Macdonald dress which she paired with golden strappy heels and a 70s-inspired hairstyle. Alicia Silverstone also opted for a short dress with golden metallic motifs paired with several cool bracelets for a more edgy allure. Actress Emma Roberts also jumped on board of the trend with a silver strapless Lanvin dress paired with hot pink Casadei pointy toe pumps and a matching clutch. Ariana Grande was a sexy siren in a sparkly red strapless bodycon floor-length dress.
AMAs 2020 Celebrity Style: Pretty in White
White ensembles were a surprisingly popular choice as well at the 2020 American Music Awards. Christina Aguilera looked like a modern day Marilyn Monroe in a sexy long sleeved Maria Lucia Hohan dress paired with sparkly Jimmy Choo pumps, a sparkly box clutch and sparkly jewelry. Kendall Jenner opted for an all white number with a sexy cutout mini paired with a cool statement necklace and a metallic clutch. Nicole Richie was another starlet who chose a stunning white dress for the event. Her sultry Emilio Pucci white dress was paired with a cool statement necklace and a metallic clutch. Miley Cyrus chose an edgy white Versace pantsuit and pointy toe black pumps for the occasion.
2020 AMAs Red Carpet: Sexy Black Dresses
A stunning red carpet appearance was Naya Rivera, who showed off her generous cleavage in a stunning long sleeved Michael Kors body hugging dress paired with edgy Marina B jewelry. Heidi Klum opted for a sultry fringed Marchesa gown which she paired with a simple pair of black Brian Atwood sandals. Singer Katy Perry was in a romantic mood as she opted for a gorgeous Oscar de la Renta spring 2020 gown with lovely floral appliques paired with an eclectic Olympia Le Tan book clutch. Ke$ha may have experimented with edgy hair colors, however, when the time came to choose her outfit for this red carpet event, she opted for a Michael Costello high slit one shoulder black dress paired with high heel black sandal. Jordin Sparks also drew attention to her stunning legs with a high slit Jovani Couture studded dress. Ciara proved she’s not afraid to flaunt her assets in a fierce sheer J.Mendel dress.
American Music Awards 2020 Style: Colorful Dresses
Jennifer Hudson captured the limelight thanks to her modern orange and pink Dior dress and her electric blue eyeshadow. Lady Gaga made her entrance on a fake white horse wearing a lavender Versace gown.
