One of the most important events in the fashion industry, the 2020 CFDA Fashion Awards, was held at Lincoln Center’s Alice Tully Hall on Monday June 3 in New York City. So, we bet you’re eager to see the hottest and most show-stopping appearances on the red carpet.
Well, one can never go wrong with black. Jessica Chastain opted for a black Givenchy dress and shoes matching them with Irene Neuwirth jewelry, while Rooney Mara chose a Calvin Klein dress. Elizabeth and Mary-Kate Olsen were also present at this year’s CFDA Fashion Awards.
Elizabeth wore a The Row dress and clutch, while Mary-Kate made an entrance in a vintage Issey Mikyake dress. A really sexy appearance was Karlie Kloss who turned heads in a sexy plunging Cushnie et Ochs piece. Lily Aldridge looked effortlessly elegant in a head-to-toe kimono-inspired look from The Row teamed with Jennifer Meyer jewelry. Alessandra Ambrosio proved that white is a timeless classic that can be a really breathtaking appearance.
Nicole Richie shined in a gold metallic gown by Marc Jacobs, while Olivia Palermo glammed it up in a Dennis Basso fringed frock paired with a Sergio Rossi clutch and Zara lace up slingback booties.
There were also a few celebrities at the 2020 CFDA Fashion Awards that played it bold. Sofia Vergara looked absolutely stunning in a green gown, while Kerry Washington, who presented the award for Womenswear Designer of the Year, made a wow-worthy entrance in a aww-inducing yellow Jason Wu dress. Jessica Stam also chose Jason Wu, while Ireland Baldwin, Alec Baldwin and Kim Basinger’s daughter, attended the event wearing a red Yigal Azrouël dress.
One could spot lots of supermodels at this year’s CFDA and they all flaunted their impeccable silhouettes in super-stylish dresses. For example, Aussie supermodel Miranda Kerr wore a colorful Proenza Schouler dress with mesmerizing blue and green hues, Adriana Lima opted for a Givenchy silver dress with a sheer section showing off her legs, while Candice Swanepoel sizzled in an ivory silk hand-draped dress with bejeweled details. Another winner on the red carpet was young actress Hailee Steinfeld who chose a two-piece from Suno matched with Jimmy Choo ‘Linda’ ankle strap heels and Jennifer Meyer jewels.
