According to Clare Waight Keller her line for the renowned house was about “night buses, independent spirit, bare legs, dorm rooms…tough girls.” Pretty cool, isn’t it? “The idea is that these are girls who emerge in quite a strict uniform, but who then create their independence in the way they wear it,”she explained. “It’s about bringing in a toughness, with more attitude.”
So, there was a special flare in the new Chloé fall 2020 collection perfectly combining toughness and girlishness. There were whimsical, diaphanous items mixed with certain pieces that Clare Waight Keller called “hardware elements.” The designer said that the line is based on “that transition from when you’re young to being a woman.”
