From the nucleus of trends we have seen until know, there are a few that seem to stand out the most. There are fabrics and colors that are used obsessively, such as fur or knits, as well as the It-color of the season, camel. Feminine dresses at Louis Vuitton, ’50s rock style at Isabel Marant, excessive fur at Chanel, knits at D&G, and the ’70s style at Chloé, here are 5 of this season’s hottest collections.
Louis Vuitton
“And God created woman”, a beautiful motto for the most feminine collection of the season. The ’50s are back with mesmerizing dresses exuding the ultimate touch of femininity. Emphasized waists and sexy pointy-toed shoes with flat innocent bows are pieces that make us think to the character Betty in “Mad Men”. Celebrating femininity, the Louis Vuitton fall/winter 2020-2020 collection is the perfect expression of a fresh sensuality with retro influences and ingenious looks revealed by classic ponytails and an almost invisible makeup.
The colors chosen are pastels and classic shades of black, aniseed green, pearly gray and lots of browns. As for the accessories, it is impossible to forget the doctor’s handbag, a reinterpretation of the classic Speedy, the leather gloves and the cute shoes that perfectly come to complete the feminine and curvy silhouettes.
Chanel
It seems that North Pole moved to the Grand Palais where Chanel presented the fall/winter 2020-2020 collection. Well, at least this is what you might think when seeing those huge chunks of ice on the stage. If the ice was real, the fur used for the global warming inspired collection was synthetic, which was used to create capes, pants, skirts and even boots.
Maybe it’s the huge iceberg in the middle that creates the impression of a freezing winter or the models wearing head-to-toe furry outfits. Faux fur, of course! However, despite the fact that fur could be seen everywhere, the already famous Chanel fabrics, such as the tweed or mohair were also present. The hottest colors in their vision are icy blue, ivory and chocolate. One couldn’t miss the furry boots matched with elegant tweed suits.
Isabel Marant
“You’re the one that I want/(you are the one i want), o,o, oo, honey…”, well at least this is the first thing that comes into my mind when seeing the Isabel Marant collection for fall/winter 2020-2020. The beautiful models are totally recreating the ’50s “Grease” look. Large, sportish blouses and sweaters worn over skinny pants or paillette leggings, loose pullovers, denim and leather jackets are all items necessary for the Isabel Marant for fall/winter 2020-2020.
In the collection one could see the come back of the pointy-toed shoes with sweet, girly bows on the sides. The ’50s fashion could be seen on the Isabel Marant show with rolled up mid-calf jeans, sparkly tees, cat-eye eye liner and high ponytails. Besides these, capris, leather pants and draped skirt and dresses came to complete the collection.
D&G
Snowflake and reindeer patterns are a total must-have when it comes to a skying outfit. Well, the D&G collection for fall/winter 2020-2020 took this idea and materialized it on sweaters or full-body ski suits. Besides these famous patterns, one could spot shorts, bustier dresses, pullovers, and chiffon or silk blouses emphasized by leopard prints or polka dots.
The collection also proposed classic clothing items, such as suits, party dresses, skirts, and blouses. Everything was matched with warm furry boots. The colors used were black, gray, beige, red and yellow. A special, unique collection that perfectly combines sexy and fun in a flirty way with breezy maxi skirts or short dresses and chunky knits and furry items.
Chloé
The Chloé collection for fall/winter 2020-2020 was dominated by this season’s new black, which is camel. With pieces reminding us of the ’70s, this collection seems to celebrate the seventies American sportswear. Long-sleeved silk blouses, high-waist flared pants and other different clothing pieces make us feel like assisting to a neo-minimalism show with a ’70s base. Camel overcoats, knitted capes, flared pants, knee-length skirts, and flirty blouses were the perfect expression of an autumnal sweetness.
