It seems that Macy’s has picked yet another uber-tallented fashion designer to collaborate with and this time the surprise will come from Alberta Ferretti. The designer will create 30 amazing pieces for Macy’s Impulse line this year, outfits that will be limited edition and sell for just 10 weeks.
To give the fans a sneak peak, Alberta Ferretti and Macy’s Impulse department released two sketches featuring two of the garments that are going to hit the shelves. The Italian designer is known for creating soft and ultra feminine designs, and this collection will be no different. With a high dose of elegance and contemporary style, the upcoming collection is announcing itself as a definite must-have.
The Alberta Ferretti for Macy’s Impulse collection will be available for sale from April 17th, 2020 and with only 10 weeks on the racks, you’d better prepare ahead to pick up your favorites. The designer promises to deliver soft and flowing silhouettes composed out of feminine dresses, peasant blouses, knitwear designs, skinny fit pants, printed ensembles created with delicate fabrics that will give the collection a very stylish, summery allure. Alberta Ferretti told WWD that:
“The collection I created is fresh and bright, featuring light summer clothing that evokes the spirit of my beautiful country and is at the same time true to my style.”
The collaboration is definitely one that Macy’s and Alberta Ferretti’s fans have been long waiting for, so prepare to be amazed by 30 universally flattering silhouettes that have Alberta’s chicness written all over.
Macy’s marketing executive vice president, Martine Reardon, said that the designer is ‘very top of mind today’. He said: “She just had two very successful shows. She appeals to an international consumer as well as an American consumer, and her fabrications are very soft, very feminine, chiffonlike, drapy, comfortable and really pretty, yet they look very elegant.”
The upcoming collection will feature affordable prices, raging from $49 to $119 and will target women in their mid 20s and early 30s, although Mr. Reardon states the designs will also be a great match for women aged 18 up to 40.
