Alexa Chung is AGATHA’s new face! The French jewelry brand has just announced that the beautiful model and style icon will front their latest campaign, AGAT’YOU. It’s for the first time that the brand names a celebrity as their global ambassador and they have chosen Alexa to represent their line due to her inspiring style as well as for her strong personality. “Her decomplexed style holding the keys to the zeitgeist, up with the latest trends that vibrate fashion, her sensitivity, her impertinence and denim shorts have totally seduced us,” the brand’s representatives say.
The new AGATHA collection, set to be released in May, includes 50 bracelets and 300 slide charms that will allow fashionistas to choose individualized pieces and get creative with their look. “From glamorous to girly, they can be mixed and matched, playing on minimalist chic, pop or rock codes,” the brand explained in a press release. Well, Alexa Chung is one super-busy girl! The 29-year-old TV presenter stars in the ad campaign for Maje, is working on her first book and has been named the new ambassador for L’Oréal Professionnel INOA Colour. “L’Oréal Professionnel is behind some of the amazing looks on the catwalks in London and Paris so I’m really excited to join the team,” Alexa revealed.
However, it seems that Chung loves being busy and told Vogue UK that variation is the best aspect of her job. “I would get very bored if I just did one thing. I just started a new show in America, a music show. It’s very hard work but it’s really good to know your brain is exhausted at the end of the day. I really like that feeling. Plus I’ve got a very low attention span so I can never focus on one thing at one time,” Alexa Chung explained.
“I love being busy. I went on holiday to Puerto Rico in January – [in a mimicking voice] ‘on holiday with Alexa and her hipster pals’ – and I couldn’t handle relaxing. My friend had a coconut he was trying to smash open, so then I spent the rest of the day trying to smash it open and my friend Amy was like ‘she loves a task, can’t live without a task’. Another time she came in and I was mopping the floor. I just like jobs,” the stunning British It-girl added in the same interview with Vogue.
