Before concentrating strictly on her shoe designs, French shoe designer Alexandra Neel was a ballerina at the Paris Opera, then she continued her career by working for big fashion names like Nina Ricci, Balenciaga or Celine.
It was in 2020 when she released the historical pair of corset heel stilettos which made her famous overnight. These shoes were so impressive and so iconic, that all fashionistas around the world begun mentioning her name. Since then, Alexandra Neel uses her dancing experience as a primarily inspiration for her designs.
“I like the women who wear my shoes to be strong-minded, very feminine and very attractive,” she said, and she couldn’t be more specific, as her shoes follow the same principle of an ideal woman.
High heels are not the only sexy ingredient Alexandra Neel inserts in her designs; she also relies on corset lacing, vintage lace or straps and feathers. This magic recipe also includes using the most high quality leather available.
Her first corseted shoes quickly became Neel’s signature in creating shoes, and her spring/summer collection for 2020 follows the same seductive attitude of her first shoes.
It includes flat ballerinas, suede sandals, flat thongs, python skin sandals, fringe details, high heels, strappy sandals and satin.
