Everyone, let us introduce you a new super-cool collaboration! Yes, a new partnership between gorgeous Alicia Keys and Reebok. The result? A signature limited edition collection featuring some seriously hip goodies. The Reebok Freestyle Hi sneakers come in several different designs that are available at Finish Line, Footaction, Macy’s, City Gear, Reebok.com as well as additional retailers. Have a nosey!
“I’ve been a Reebok fan ever since I put on my first pair of 5411’s,” Keys said. “Collaborating with Reebok and designing this collection has been such a cool experience because I’ve been able to tap into my creativity in a whole new way. Reebok’s one of those brands that have endured the test of time and partnering with them felt like a really natural fit.”
Speaking about her role in this collaboration, Alicia reveals that, “I collaborated on my very own limited collection! I started with the design team looking back through the archive and eventually landed on my favorite Classics’ silhouettes: the Freestyle Hi and Classic Nylon AND I fell in love with the Double Bubble! It was like having blank canvasses! I then had a lot of fun with colors and fabrics, and creating sneakers that I love to wear and I’m super excited to share!”
As on her main source of inspiration, the beautiful singer admits she wanted to add her personal touch to the collection. “My style is eclectic and I wanted to make sure I put my own twist on the sneakers. For me, inspiration comes from everywhere; the streets of New York, the music I listen to, fashion, my friends, the world around me. It’s about creating something that’s not only wearable but is cool and makes you feel confident and at your best! I definitely went for street, style and stage — three important things to me,” she says.
What about her favs? Well, some of Alicia’s favorite pieces are the embellished ones with a piano keyboard and the New York City skyline. “That’s the heart and soul of who I am,” Keys explains. Besides, she also loves a pair of leather, studded Double Bubbles. “I can see people wanting to rock them, love wearing them,” the songstress says. “It all feels really great, and speaks to who I am and what I love.”
