Lupita Nyong’o
The breakout star of the awards season was also the best dressed woman on the red carpet. Thanks to her award-winning performance in “12 Years A Slave”, Lupita Nyong’o had all eyes on her and she impressed every time.
She’d definitely at the top of the best dressed list thanks to her many stunning gowns, from Gucci at the SAG Awards to Ralph Lauren at the Golden Globes and Prada at the Oscars.
Jennifer Lawrence
As the image of Dior, Jennifer Lawrence stunned during the awards season 2020 with varied, but equally successful looks. From the white dress she wore at the Golden Globes to her sparkling dress from the SAG Awards and her peplum Oscar gown, Jennifer Lawrence always made a splash, even if she missed the top position in the best dressed list.
Amy Adams
For the awards season 2020, Amy Adams took inspiration from the ‘70s fashion of “American Hustle”, but always added modern glamor to her looks. She wore Gucci Première at the Oscars, Antonio Berardi at the SAG awards and looked gorgeous in Valentino at the Golden Globes. Her weakest look was an all-black gown by Victoria Beckham, worn at the BAFTA Awards.
Cate Blanchett
The Australian actress often makes the best dressed list, but she really pulled out all the stops during the awards season 2020. Wearing nudes with a touch of sparkle, Cate Blanchett impressed in Armani Privé at the Oscars and Golden Globes, but looked equally beautiful in Alexander McQueen at the BAFTA Awards and pink Givenchy at the SAG Awards.
Sandra Bullock
Even though some stylists considered Bullock’s Prabal Gurung color-blocked gown from the Golden Globes a bit risky, the actress bounced back to make the best dressed list during the awards season. She impressed in Lanvin at the Critics Choice Awards and was a clear style winner at the Academy Awards thanks to her Alexander McQueen gown.
Sofia Vergara
Getting a head start for gorgeous style with the red Vera Wang gown she wore at the 2020 Emmys, Sofia Vergara continued to impress on the red carpet. She wore a stunning Donna Karan Atelier creation at the SAG awards and finished the 2020 award season in Zac Posen at the Golden Globes.
Kerry Washington
Proving that you can get on the best dressed list during awards season even if you’re celebrating your baby bump, Kerry Washington flaunted her figure in a white Balenciaga gown at the Golden Globes. She opted for Prada separates at the SAG Awards and wore a custom creation by Jason Wu at the Academy Awards.
Taylor Swift
Even though her music may not be maturing, Taylor Swift’s style certainly is. The singer made a splash at the Grammy Awards in a Gucci gown and followed it up with a sophisticated Carolina Herrera creation for the Golden Globes. Even though she didn’t attend the 86th Academy Awards, she showed up at the Vanity Fair Oscar After Party 2020 in a gorgeous black Julien Macdonald gown.
Jared Leto
Celebrating his rock star status, Jared Leto took quite a few risks during the awards season 2020, but ended up on the best dressed list. At the Golden Globes he chose to wear a classic tuxedo, but added his own twist with a cool hair bun. Leto chose a Dior suit for the SAG Awards, but rand gained even more style points at the Oscars in Saint Laurent.
Matthew McConaughey
Dolce & Gabbana was Matthew McConaughey’s brand of choice during the award season of 2020. Starting out at the Golden Globes with a green velvet blazer, he also impressed stylists with his cool blazer from the SAG Awards and won his first Oscar in a white D&G ensemble.
