Second only to NYFW, the annual event held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s Costume Institute gathered together some of the biggest names in fashion, including major designers and some of the highest earning models in the industry.

Kate Upton
Going for a darker look, model and actress Kate Upton chose a Dolce & Gabbana creation for the Met Ball. Her black tiered gown with sheer paneling included a stunning corset and a train, and the look was complete thanks to a black hairpiece with flower detailing, that kept her soft locks in place.
Karolina Kurkova
Considering the theme of this year’s event “Charles James: Beyond Fashion”, one of the best dressed models at the Met Gala 2020 was Karolina Kurkova.
The model chose a Marchesa Spring 2020 gown. Decorated with a dramatic floral print, the teal dress really went a glamorous look.
Rosie Huntington-Whiteley
English model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley chose to go for for the wow factor in a Balmain Fall 2020 dress. The black leather dress featuring leopard print and gold chain panels was perfectly complemented by the daring gladiator sandals, hoop earrings and simple makeup.
Suki Waterhouse
One of the best dressed models at the Met Gala 2020, Suki Waterhouse rocked the red carpet in her gorgeous Burberry gown. The strapless and tiered pink dress was daringly accessorized with a bold, darker lip. The model completed her look with diamond earrings and a cute updo.
Cara Delevigne
Leaving behind the classic gown look for the red carpet, Cara Delevigne went for Stella McCartney separates for the Met Gala. Her look included a daring black top with cut-outs, white pants and black pumps. The model used Cartier jewelry and glamorous curls to bring the look together.
Lily Aldridge
The 28-year old American model chose an American designer for her look at the Met Ball. Going with a Michael Kors dress in shimmering silver, Lily Aldridge ended up as one of the best dressed models at the Met Gala 2020. Her intricate necklace and effortless updo helped complete the beautiful red carpet look.
Kendall Jenner
Trading practicality for gorgeous elegance, Kendall Jenner went for a Topshop dress that she could barely sit down in. The beautiful pink gown was complemented by a beautiful Chopard diamond chocker necklace and Kendall Jenner pulled back her tresses for a great red carpet hairstyle.
Joan Smalls
Attending the event accompanied by Vera Wang, who designed the dress worn by the model, Joan Smalls showed off a beautiful creation in deep nude, and was certainly one of the best dressed models at the Met Gala 2020. The strapless silk tulle dress features a sheer skirt with a center slit and Joan Smalls paired with a very dark plum lip and a fishtail braid.
Adriana Lima
Wearing a beautiful Givenchy dress, Adriana Lima made one of her first public appearances after the split from her husband was announced. The chocolate brown gown featured a leather corset and the Brazilian supermodel completed her look with straight dark hair with a center part.
Liu Wen
Wearing Zac Posen, model Liu Wen went for one of the more literal interpretations of the “Charles James: Beyond Fashion “ theme. Her Zac Posen strapless gown channeled one of the most iconic designs of “America’s first couturier”. Liu Wen’s sea-foam green dress from the Zac Posen Fall 2020 collection borrows a few lines from Charles James’ Four Leaf Clover gown, which makes her one of the best dressed models at the Met Gala 2020.
Arizona Muse
Another retro look, model Arizona Muse’s red Zac Posen gown has similar sensibilities, but ends up in a different directions. The red stunner is made complete thanks to the simple, yet glamorous, slicked back do.
Lily Donaldson
Definitely one of the best dressed models at the Met Gala 2020, Lily Donaldson wore Burberry by Christopher Bailey. Her elegant white gown with dramatic black accents at the back was a truly inspired choice for the Met Ball.
