Coco Rocha is considered to be a role model for young people around the world. The famous Canadian model proved that it’s not enough to be beautiful only on the outside as she got involved in different charity causes.
“It’s everything to me. I try very hard to be consistent in both word and deed. If girls are going to look up to me, I want it to be for all the right reasons. There’s a severe lack of good role models in the media today for girls to emulate. I’ve always been careful about the types of photographs I take, the way I could be perceived, and what I stand for, especially when it comes to the charities I support,” Rocha said in an interview with Oceana Magazine.
On the other hand, no one can deny Rocha’s amazing impact in the fashion world! Her latest gig? Well, Coco has been named the new face of Sass & Bide fronting their spring/summer 2020 campaign. Oh, but the model will also take over the Australian brand’s social media channels.
Coco Rocha’s take over will start from January 28 and run for 5 days, giving Sass & Bide fans the chance to see the model in her daily life wearing pieces from the brand’s autumn/winter 2020 collection. Rocha is constantly present on social platforms and has more than 7 million followers on Tumblr, Twitter, Facebook, Google+, Tencent Weibo, and others.
The take over for Sass & Bide will be a raw insight into Coco Rocha’s world with photos taken using only a handheld camera in her natural surroundings. “Coco captures the raw and natural energy of the sass & bide spirit,” designer Sarah-Jane Clarke says of their choice. “She is unique and individual and complements our brand beautifully.”
As for Rocha, the gorgeous model said that, “I’ve grown an audience on all my social media platforms and I work hard to keep them interested. At the end of the day, modeling is advertising and many clients are happy I come with my own built in audience. In the last few years we’ve seen fashion become increasingly accessible to the masses. More and more, people want to be (and expect to be) a part of this world and I’m more than happy to share my perspective with them.”
