The traditional Christmas sweater gets a glam makeover with the help of 14 of some of the most resounding names in the fashion industry. The British Fashion Council and Westfield have teamed up with the Save the Children charitable organization for a Christmas jumper line that keeps on giving. Labels Alexander McQueen, Anya Hindmarch, Burberry, David Koma, Giles, Henry Holland, Jonathan Saunders, Mary Katrantzou, Matthew Williamson, Paul Smith, Peter Pilotto, Sibling, Vivienne Westwood and Wool and the Gang all brought their own version of the Christmas sweater for the annual Christmas Jumper Day held by the leading charitable organization on December 13.

This means that fashionistas will get the chance of owning a hand-knit designer sweater by participating in a month-long auction. The sweaters are knitted in UK by fashion label Wool and the Gang. However, there’s a unique twist to the Wooly Text Auction. Not the highest bid will win. Instead, the lowest unique bid will win each of the pieces in question. This essentially means that deep pockets are not required to win a unique designer piece! We can’t think of a better way to indulge in a little retail therapy and make a difference in the process.
