The eBay x CFDA You Can’t Fake Fashion project has reached its third reiteration and is bringing plenty of gorgeous alternatives that will turn the attention on the serious problems posed by counterfeiting and its consequences. This time around the Council of Fashion Designers of America and eBay initiative counts on the support of 90 designers who support the efforts to end the global practice that has become so widespread.
Steven Kolb explains once again the important message the new campaign brings: “The CFDA works to protect designers’ intellectual property and fighting counterfeits is a critical issue to CFDA, eBay and the fashion industry at large… we continue to collaborate with eBay on this bold campaign to educate shoppers on the dangers of counterfeits, raise awareness of our mutual dedication to the fight against fakes and emphasize the importance of original design.’
While many of the new eBay x CFDA handbags belong to designers who have also brought their contribution at the previous edition, there are many new names and plenty of exciting styles to be chosen from this time around.
Catherine Malandrino, Sam Edelman, Carolina Herrera, Band of Outsiders, Derek Lam, Mara Hoffman, Carmen Marc Valvo, J.Mendel, Anna Sui, Badgley Mischka, Ruffian, Erin Fetherston, Robert Rodriguez, Diane von Furstenberg, Billy Reid, Rodarte, Chris Benz, Tabitha Simmons or Reem Acra are just some of the brands which joined the eBay x CFDA “You Can’t Fake Fashion” project. The original designs which play up on some of the most easily recognizable motifs and patterns of the luxury brands which teamed up to raise awareness of the consequences of this serious problem are sure to a strong statement.
