To bring its newest designs to the state of sartorial masterpieces, Saab played liberally with shiny beads, crystals, stones and sequins. Plunging necklines and sheer touches were once again the designer’s way of pleasing those for whom sophistication with a sexy vibe is the true definition of perfection. The ultra sophisticated allure brought by glamorous embellishments and appliqués was heightened even more by the rich hues chosen for the new season: sapphire blue, pearl gray and amazing green tones.
As breathtaking as the Elie Saab fall 2020 couture dresses were, nothing compared with the label’s traditional bridal gown, saved for the grand finale. A strapless floor-skimming princess style gown adorned with quartz, crystal and glitter and a long matching veil which looked as delicate as a spider’s web in the hands of the bridesmaid that carried it.
