The spring 2020 Paris Fashion Week finished in style with the collections of some of the most well known luxury labels in the world and, as far as evening wear is concerned, the Elie Saab brand has definitely attracted the most attention. The latest Elie Saab show was suggestively named Color Shock, highlighting the designer’s preoccupation with drawing attention with the help of strong tones.
Well defined cuts, sheerness and lacy details along with eye-catching sequins were only some of the style elements used to create to-die-for red carpet ready gowns that will be undoubtedly adopted by many A-list celebrities at the media events in the next year. Although the collection featured knee length dresses and even feminine suits, the ultra glamorous floor-length evening dresses were the most awaited and the most excitement inducting ones. Creamy white tones, ochre, soft orange, precious emerald green tones or bold blues were the color choices that have defined the designs.
Elie Saab’s incredible craftamanship was more than evident throughout the collection and details such as daring necklines with asymmetric touches, flowy gowns or subtle pleat details are some of the best examples in this sense. High splits have brought just enough sexiness to bring a modern touch to a classy refined dress. Accessories are kept in the same color palette yet are fairly discreet and consist mostly of geometric clutches and simple strappy pumps.
