Emma Watson has proved that fashion is not a strange and unknown thing to her. Moreover, the beautiful actress proves that this domain can also be friendly with the environment. Her collaboration with People Three was materialized into this spring/summer 2020 collection set to be launched on February 28. The date coincides with Monday’s Fairtrade Fortnight, an annual event celebrating fair and ethical trading values.

Speaking about fashion, the 20-year-old “Harry Potter” star said that “it feels amazing. Fashion is something that I love. I try not to think about it too much. I try and block all that off and I just do what I love and just have fun with it. I’ve definitely been feeling the pressure a bit more recently but it’s just fun for me.”

Now, the images from the Emma Watson for People Tree Spring 2020 campaign were finally revealed featuring the adorable actress wearing pieces in the collection and flawlessly rocking her fashionable short pixie haircut. The collection will be available on People’s Tree website.

About the collaboration, Emma Watson said that “the design process continued with me trying on each and every piece to get the fits just as I wanted them and then I visited Bangladesh to see the clothing actually being made and meet the people making it. It was an incredible and life-changing experience – I really wish everyone had the chance to see the difference Fair Trade makes with their own eyes.”

This is the third collection that Emma creates for the label. People Tree works with 50 Fair Trade groups in 15 countries trying to improve the situation in the world’s most marginalized communities, but they also choose different production methods in order to reduce environmental impact.

“Fair Trade fashion comes from the villages – and provides a real alternative to working in a garment factory and the harsh environment of living in a slum,” Emma explained. “Fair Trade fashion is often completely handmade – and made of 100% natural and organic cotton – and it’s a small miracle that we as consumers can participate in a process that is keeping skills and communities alive and helping them to prosper.”

On February 14, Emma received the Style Icon award at Elle Style Awards 2020.

Famous designer Vivienne Westwood presented Emma with the award. Explaining the reasons for believing that Watson deserves this title, Elle’s editor Lorraine Candy said: “We always say at Elle, ‘It’s not what you wear, it’s the way you wear it’, and she’s got such spirit, Emma. I think that makes her stylish.”
