The Grammy Awards 2020 edition held at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California, brought together some of the biggest stars of the music industry. The event was first and foremost a celebration of talent, but also brought many interesting choices on the fashion front, even though the overall tone seemed much more subtle compared to other editions. The Grammy Awards 2020 red carpet choices were extremely diverse, but the following stars managed to steal the spotlight from the very first moment:
Some stars took the notion of sparkling on the Grammys 2020 red carpet very literally and brought interesting takes on the metallic trend in the process. Taylor Swift opted for a stunning Gucci silver dress paired with Jimmy Choo shoes and clutch, and Lorraine Schwartz jewels for the event, thus managing to create a look that was attention-grabbing yet demure at the same time, winning the approval of fashion stylists.
Mom-to-be Ciara also managed to dazzle the audience with her choice for the event. The star looked glamorous and sophisticated in a sparkly long sleeved Emilio Pucci custom gown.
British star Rita Ora was another star who decided to give the metallic trend a go. She opted for a chic long sleeved Lanvin metallic mini dress, simple Lanvin sandals and Lorraine Schwartz jewelry.
Model Chrissy Teigen made a big impression at the Grammys 2020 with her ultra sexy Johanna Johnson staples gown.
Another star that shined bright on the Grammys 2020 red carpet was Amber Rose who opted for a chic low-cut Naeem Khan dress which highlighted her curves.
Kelly Osbourne also opted for sparkle, but in a significantly lower dose compared to most stars. The ‘Fashion Police’ correspondent collaborated with Badgley Mischka on her gown, which was inspired by the Black Sabbath. Her look, which was completed with Loree Rodkin jewelry, received mixed reviews, but was an interesting pick nonetheless.
When it comes to dressing properly for the occasion, Katy Perry was definitely the one that gave it the most thought. The star rocked a feminine musical notes printed tulle gown taken straight from the Valentino spring 2020 couture runway.
R&B singer Alicia Keys won both the award for best R&B album and a place on the Grammys 2020 best dressed list. She looked amazing in a sexy yet ladylike Armani Prive cobalt blue halter neck dress. Giuseppe Zanotti shoes and Stephen Webster jewelry completed her look.
Pink might have impressed the audience with her amazing aerial performance, but it doesn’t mean that her toned down outfit for the occasion was any less worthy of praise. The singer rocked a strapless red gown designed by Johanna Johnson, accessorized with a matching red clutch and sparkly jewelry.
Ariana Grande was a familiar presence at the 2020 Grammy Awards as she once again opted for a flirty yet feminine look. Her choices for the occasion were a Dolce & Gabbana ball gown paired with custom Aldo platforms.
Madonna’s fans were undoubtedly expecting their idol to break the mold with her fashion choice for the event and she definitely didn’t disappoint. She went for a masculine-inspired look and opted for a Ralph Lauren suit and a fab black hat, thus matching her son’s outfit for the occasion.
