H&M is famous for its collaborations with famous names on the catwalk. The Swedish clothing giant H&M has had great designers to create collections that had a huge impact on the market.

Roberto Cavalli created, for example, 25 pieces for women, mainly evening wear, and 20 for men, as well as accessories and lingerie. Madonna, Stella McCartney or Karl Lagerfeld designed for H&M some time ago. Now, a new name will be the image for H&M this season.

Matthew Williamson declared that he is thrilled about this experiment. He says he love the fact that H&M has created a new phenomenon in fashion through the pioneering concept of collaborating with high-end designers to create one-off limited edition capsule collections. He is also thrilled that his creations for H&M will be accessible to and hopefully enjoyed by so many people around the world.

Matthew Williamson is deeply appreciated for its vision and spirit; his creations resemble a lot with everything a contemporary London look is all about. Fresh, trendy, cool, outstanding.

H&M had other campaigns that had a serious impact on people. H&M launched Fashion Against Aids to spread awareness about HIV this month. Well-known artists such as The Cardigans, Rihanna, Chicks on Speed, Good Charlotte, Henrik Vibskov, Jade Jagger, Katharine Hamnett, My Chemical Romance, Rufus Wainwright, Scissor Sisters, Tiga, Timbaland and Ziggy Marley have each designed a 100% organic cotton T-shirts, tank tops or hooded sweater.

Before that, the Swedish high street store applied the EU eco-label on its creations and launched an organic cotton collection last spring.

From May 14, the collection signed by Matthew Williamson for Summer will be available in around 1600 H&M stores worldwide!
