The hyper-talented and beloved designer revealed that his aim when creating a timeless accessory is to “pay attention to where the shoe is cut and to what the leg looks like when it is on. How many toes are showing through the cut. It is all about the cut and the silhouette it creates basically. And as you very well know, it makes a woman feel confident and beautiful when a shoe is elegant and subtle at the same time”(herewomentalk.com). We find out from the designer himself that for spring 2020 his purpose was to “Bring in something exotic like a bright orange ostrich skin which is really divine and beautiful. And that to me is an important statement for Spring. I am also using quite unexpected materials like a woven straw. One of them is black. One is white. Then I mix them both together on the same shoe so creating a strong black and white statement. Sort of minimalist and modern at the same time”(herewomentalk.com).
