Louis Vuitton’s spring 2020 campaign pays tribute to Marc Jacobs and features some of the designer’s biggest style muses. The designer’s departure after the 16 year tenure has definitely left a big impression on the luxury label. This truth was openly acknowledged by Frédéric Winckler, Vuitton’s communications and events director, who told WWD.com that: “It was a very emotional shoot, and I find this shows in the images,” adding that the campaign is not supposed to be a melancholic one.
The new Louis Vuitton spring 2020 campaign, lensed by Steven Meisel in a New York studio, brings Catherine Deneuve, Sofia Coppola, Gisele Bündchen, Fan Bingbing, Caroline de Maigret and Edie Campbell into the spotlight. The new set of ads will make their official debut in February when they will be featured in fashion magazines. All the protagonists featured in the first ads released by the label have a mysterious gaze which makes them memorable. Since the Louis Vuitton spring 2020 collection, which was Marc Jacobs’ last line created for the brand, was based on a dark color palette with black being the star tone, it comes as no surprise that the new looks are somewhat somber looking.
The stunning outfits and the gorgeous makeup looks might be among the first things that attract attention in latest Louis Vuitton spring 2020 campaign, however, the upscale label put the spotlight on the accessories instead. Fans of the brand will notice the new variations of the bucket-style Noé bag, originally designed in 1932 by Gaston-Louis Vuitton.
The iconic brand has received a modern makeover, being reinterpreted to meet different style needs. On the one hand, the label appeals to its loyal customer base with a stunning classy allure. On the other hand, fans who are looking for a practical handbag that makes a powerful statement will also find plenty of stunning options worth indulging in.
