Renowned fashion photographer Mario Testino joined forces with Net-A-Porter and created a 40-piece limited-edition collection of clothing, jewelry, and bags. Inspired by the vibrant costumes and artisan craftwork captured in his recent photographic exhibition called ‘Alta Moda’, the Peruvian photographer has produced a collection of jaw-dropping pieces available exclusively at Net-A-Porter. A percentage of each sale will be donated to Testino’s Lima-based charity, MATE.

“We are huge fans of Mario’s photography and are delighted to be able to offer our customers the opportunity to wear his works of art,” said Holli Rogers, fashion director at Net-A-Porter.com. “The color and detail in the Peruvian costumes are unbelievable and this has paved the way for a fun range of clothing, bags and jewelry,” she added.

The limited-edition line includes kaftans, T-shirts, clutches, and jewelry designed by Erickson Beamon’s Vicki Beamon, and 17 vintage pieces that were handcrafted in Peru. “The vintage pieces were handmade by Marcelle Symons of One Vintage, and are reworked to include Peruvian fabric,” Rogers said. “Essentially, these pieces are wearable art. We worked hard to make the price point accessible, and we can see them becoming iconic prints. They are the type of thing you’ll wear walking down the street and someone will ask, ‘Is that a Mario Testino piece?’”

Mario Testino opened MATE, a not-for-profit culture organization in his native Lima, Peru, in 2020 in order to promote and celebrate the work of Peruvian artists. “I wanted to give back to my country and I figure the best way that I can do t his is by giving back through culture,” the London-based photographer told Vogue UK. “We have many ideas for supporting and working with artists with Mate and we hope soon to be announcing some plans.”
