MFW Spring 2020 Trends: Bold Color-blocking at Prada
Miuccia Prada has never been afraid of eclectic, bold alternatives, but even so, the spring 2020 collection was definitely surprising. Citing “political wall art from Mexican muralists such as Diego Rivera” as inspiration, the designer made a statement of her own with the new line – women as fighters: “It’s about a debate about women; it’s a political discourse: ‘I’m allowed to do whatever I want to do with clothes.’ If they see you, they listen.”
The line featured a ton of ultra colorful coats, bustier dresses or skirts with female faces as a leitmotif, sporty accents such as striped leg warmers and eye-catching accessories. Without a doubt, it’s one of the most thought provoking lines the designer has created in quite some time. View more from the Prada spring 2020 collection

MFW Spring 2020 Trends: Edgy Flamboyance at Versace
The idea that “the street is the new catwalk” was Donatella Versace’s source of inspiration for her spring 2020 collection which was all about “boldness, energy, rock and casual luxury”. The result? Edgy, modern looks with undeniable sexy vibe. Key pieces from the Versace spring 2020 line were skin grazing bra tops, mesh bandannas, circle skirts, bodycon minidresses with mesh and chain details and cropped moto jackets. The tough girl allure was softened by the floral prints and abstract patterns and by soft tones of lavender, yellow and sky blue. The label’s eveningwear alternatives had a more distinguishable feminine allure, but still had the sexy glam rock allure that the label’s fans have come to know and adore.
