The Monique Lhuillier fall 2020 wedding dresses collection was inspired by a secret garden envisioned by the famed designer, “a timeless and special place where magic, hope and love grow”. The concept set the tone of the romantic new line which brought a breath-taking design after another, transporting viewers into a glamorous world where opulence was viewed through the lenses of femininity and subtle retro vibes. There was something about the new Monique Lhuillier 2020 wedding dresses that brought heirlooms to mind, even though most modern brides would be instantly seduced by most of the gorgeous new dresses.
While some designers test the waters with bold new trends and interpretations, Lhuillier stays faithful to the traditional perspectives regarding wedding gowns, meeting and exceeding women’s expectations with every new collection and this is exactly the strategy the new Monique Lhuillier 2020 wedding gowns revolved around, with a small twist: in addition to pristine white tones, the line also included ivory tones and stunning lavender-grey shades.
The lineup featured a multitude of stunning princess style gowns embellished with Swarovski crystals, featuring intricate antique silver and rose gold threadwork, lattice and vine motifs. Style-wise, the line is fairly diverse catering to more than one type of silhouette. There are sultry mermaid style gowns, chic empire waist wedding dresses and stunning voluminous gowns. Even though she included plenty of stunning strapless gowns in the new line, the designer didn’t forget about her more romantic and/or conservative customers. For them, she brought gorgeous long sleeved wedding gowns which have a more innocent allure but the same refined vibe.
While the wedding dresses were the main focal point of the new Monique Lhuillier fall 2020 bridal line, the accessories were also an interesting choice. Simple sandals, long veils and classy and luxurious tiaras completed the sophisticated wedding gowns perfectly.
