Designer shoes come in a gorgeous variety to meet the ever changing preferences of the fashion pack. Nicholas Kirkwood is one of the exceptional shoemakers who succeeded in staying in the spotlight with his unique style vision.
Gwyneth Paltrow and Kirsten Dunst are only some of his incurable fans from Hollywood. Undoubtedly, the highly acclaimed fashion godfather has the magic spell to trap the heart of all aspiring ‘it’ girls into this glamorous fantasy.
As the pop designer claims, the inspiration for the Nicholas Kirkwood Spring 2020 shoes comes from “A recent trip to Bali inspired the undertones of the collection with a lighter and more feminine feel,[…]A spring garden of bold prints and colours form the basis of it – which is adorned with ornamental decoration. There is a focus on volume with floral forms evolving into unravelling bows that lift elegantly off the foot.”
In spite of the ultra-modern and summerish inspiration , Nicholas Kirkwood sticks to a few classy design patterns in order to inject a suit-all quality into his footwear designs. The bold color selection teamed up with a set of oh-so-fab prints and details add radiance and high street allure to these wardrobe staples. Nicholas Kirkwood confesses that, “A bow is never just a bow, a flower is never just a flower,[…]Prints are engineered to give an impression of ‘corseting’ the toe and heel while garden flowers are in fact birds with their wings spread in flight.” The collection is diverse and convinces the fashion pack that there’s always room for subtle extravagance in everyone’s closet.
Those who are already familiarized with the fashion policy and the opera of this style prophet know that they’ll be able to find at least one pair of platform pumps, flats or cool sandals which have the power to inject a flamboyant flair into their plain outfits. As the designer states, “We’re offering lower heel heights of 70 or 85mm and a flat slipper too – so there will be something for both the loyal and the new customers.” The crown pieces of the complete collection are indeed the pumps decorated with the artwork of Keith Haring.
