After seeing all the shows for spring summer 2020, we can say that the next warm season definitely has something for every fashion addict. From clean, minimalist silhouettes, romantic shapes and pretty pastels to eye-popping colors, daring prints and edgy tailoring, designers managed to come up with impressive collections in order to meet all our expectations. Now it was Sophie Albou’s turn to impress the audience at Paris Fashion Week with the latest Paul & Joe spring 2020 collection. “She likes gold; she likes luxury,” the French designer said.
It was a great collection of utilitarian, safari and ethnic-inspired silhouettes. Still, despite the apparent relaxed, effortless approach, the chic factor was present throughout the entire show. The French designer, who named the line after her two sons, managed to offer an impressive, powerful parade of absolute modernity and laidback sophistication.
There were military buttoned-up shirts, double-breasted blazers, utility pants, thigh-high slit skirts and maxi dresses, fringed ponchos, overalls, vests, embroidered jeans, boho peasant dresses and alluring metallic knits. The color palette was characterized by a healthy dose of khaki. However, tribal prints, paisley and colorful stripes were spotted covering those beautiful pieces. Every model took to the runway elegant long earrings. Moreover, satchel bags and wooden killer heels perfectly complemented the fab ensembles.
