Fashion collaborations seem to be quite successful as footwear retailer Payless demonstrates once again, this time by turning towards a surprising collaboration with renowned fashion designer Silvia Tcherassi. The brand is no stranger to signing with big names in the fashion industry, names such as Christian Siriano, Lela Rose and Isabel Toledo, and it seems that Silvia Tcherassi will be the next designer to collaborate with Payless ShoeSource.
Silvia Tcherassi is known for her amazing designs that combine delicateness with attitude, for an unbelievable strong look that mesmerizes from first glimpse. The Columbian- born fashion designer is expected to transpose some of her Latin charisma into the collection, a collection the esteemed designer is very excited about.
According to WWD, Ms. Tcherassi unveiled a few details with regards to the upcoming shoe collection, which is expected to hit the shelves somewhere around early May 2020. The Colombian fashion designer said that: “This is a great opportunity to create shoes and handbags to complement my existing fashion collections. For the spring-summer season this includes many important silhouettes like wedges, flats, strappy heels and thong sandals with key trend details like bright colorblocking, unique mesh uppers and satin ribbon details and ties.”
Ms. Tcherassi’s shoe collection will be the fist to hit stores across Latin America, so no wonder that the arrival of this collection is highly expected. Payless ShoeSource Inc. chief executive officer LuAnn Via told WWD that Colombia has been a very important market place for the label and so it’s very important to offer back to the customers, and Payless’s way of giving back is by turning towards the help of an acclaimed fashion designer that would capture the essence of Latin beauty.
