Raf Simons made no secret as to what the theme of the new Dior spring 2020 collection was: flowers. However, the designer didn’t try to invoke a romantic, innocent allure. According to his show notes, the idea was “a beautiful rose garden becomes poisonous,” hence the title “Against Nature”. This was his way of putting his unique twist on the label’s style signature. The new line focused mostly on daywear, bringing new interpretations of the iconic Dior Bar jacket, chic pleated skirts with colorful floral prints, asymmetrical dresses and Fifties-inspired eveningwear dresses.
