Rita Ora and Adidas will collaborate on a new line. If you needed another proof that the singer is on a roll lately, this is definitely it. The singer has reportedly signed an endorsement gig with the sportswear giant for no less than $2.5 million (or £1.5 million). The news wasn’t officially confirmed by the singer or the brand, however, there are plenty of signs that indicate that the saying is accurate. A month ago, the singer shared a picture of herself in LA with the hashtag Adidasfamilia which is a fairly strong indication that we might be able to buy options designed by the “How We Do” singer herself.
Moreover, she was seen sporting a lot of Adidas clothing recently and she’s also a friend of Jeremy Scott, who designs for Adidas Originals and who recently became Moschino’s new creative director. According to reports, she expressed her desire to create a collection for the label and it seems like the brand listened. Oh, let’s not forget that she wears sneakers a whole lot, so envisioning her as the face of Adidas isn’t far fetched at all. In fact, it’s one of the most accurate pairings we’ve seen lately. The star has been seen rocking several printed sweatpants lately, which is why many believe that the new line will feature a multitude of jazzy clothing pieces from cropped tops and some cool trainers.
Judging by her usual choices, the new offerings will be anything but understated. Hopefully, she’ll decide to give us a teaser soon. Since both the brand and the singer were basically silent on the matter, neither confirming or denying the news, there are no details as to when the line will be launched.
Of course, the new gig won’t be her first foray into designing. She’s currently the face of Rimmel London and will be designing a capsule collection for the well known retailer. Plus, she was also the face of Italian label Superga, another label that specializes in cool sporty pieces, so she has plenty of good sources of inspiration she can use.
