The news that Zac Posen will be designing his own bridal line for David’s Bridal stirred waves of excitement among brides-to-be and bridesmaids because it meant that owning an affordable stunning dress signed by one of the most renowned American designers will no longer be a far-fetched dream. Now that the Truly Zac Posen for David’s Bridal collection was unveiled, we can definitely see that it was worth the wait as each creation is utterly gorgeous.
According to the designer, the new creations are, in essence, a love note for brides everywhere: “I am so honoured to partner with David’s Bridal on the Truly Zac Posen line, as we have jointly created love notes to brides everywhere.” For the bridal section of the new line, he chose to focus exclusively on floor-sweeping gowns as this length is synonymous with timeless elegance in the designer’s mind. The new Truly Zac Posen debut bridal collection carries the same modern American glamour allure the designer’s main collection is defined by, and creating the hourglass silhouette seems to be one of the main concerns for the designer.
The bridesmaid section, or more accurately, the special occasion dresses included in the new Truly Zac Posen for David’s Bridal collection, are designed with many of the same principles in mind. The designer eschews trends, bringing options that will still feel relevant in the years to come. Cocktail dresses and simple floor length gowns are the options fans of the label will be able to choose from.
The newest Truly Zac Posen creations arrive at select David’s Bridal stores and at davidsbridal.com starting with February 6. The new dresses will come in sizes ranging from 0 to 26 for wedding dresses and 0 to 14 for special occasion dresses. The prices for the newest Zac Posen wedding dresses start at $850, with the most expensive bridal gown retailing for $1,350. The options from the bridesmaid section are even more wallet friendly, selling for prices between $195 and $225.
