The Vera Wang pre-fall 2020 collection is an extension of the renowned designer’s personality. Of course, it could be argued that all the creations put forward by the designer are an extension of her personality, however, this particular line has a more personal touch to it since she looked in her own closets for inspiration. The new line focuses on specific pieces for the seasonal transition. Masculine and sportswear elements seem to define the new line which brings a myriad of versatile pieces worth analyzing a little closer.
At a first glance, the new line seems a sea of black ensembles, however, at a closer analysis, the multitude of interesting details that make the new looks stand out become more apparent. Though Vera Wang’s pre-fall 2020 line features plenty of utilitarian pieces like sweatshirts paired with simple skirts and chunky sandals and chic parkas, there are also several interesting elegant ensembles with a decidedly feminine twist.
Denim gets an elegant makeover being reinterpreted in inconspicuous jackets or romantic petal skirts. Jackets receive either a sporty vibe or are reinterpreted with feminine accents for an interesting elegant twist. The line features stunning black techno satin coats, short sleeved coats, black rose guipure coat vest and these are just some of the options the label brings into the spotlight.
The Vera Wang pre-fall 2020 collection brings a multitude of stunning dresses into the spotlight. For the most part, the designer opted for minimalist shift dresses or simple monochrome column dresses. For the more elegant ensembles, however, the designer brought chic jewel tones and even sequins for a more festive allure. When it came to dresses, the label placed quite a bit of emphasis on the shoulders playing with volume to give the impression of asymmetry. Long leather gloves and fur scarves are the accessories that completed the elegant looks featured in the new Vera Wang pre-fall 2020 line.
