The Zuhair Murad spring 2020 couture collection, presented on the last day of the Paris Haute Couture spring 2020 Fashion Week, brought some familiar looks into the spotlight. In many ways, the new line felt like a different perspective on the “Enchanted Forest” theme that defined the label’s fall 2020 couture line. This time, the looks had a more romantic twist and the color palette revolved around lighter tones, but the focus on mesmerizing embellishments and elegant touches that mesmerize at the first glance has remained just as strong. One red carpet-worthy ensemble after another carried the audience into a fantasy world where sophistication reigns supreme.
The multitude of delicate and ornate lace details and the gorgeous ruffled 3D roses the designer used in the new Zuhair Murad spring 2020 couture collection reminded everyone that the label is all about celebrating femininity, regardless of which source of inspiration is at the base of each line. Delicate feathers and intricate beadwork were other stunning elements that transformed classic dresses into breath-taking masterpieces. Silhouette-wise, the line brought a balanced mix of princess-style gowns and body hugging dresses of various lengths.
Among the most opulent Zuhair Murad couture spring 2020 creations were gorgeous sequined pieces often in opulent gold tones. The designer’s fascination with opulent gold tones was explored in depth in the spring 2020 couture collection, so this time the focus was mostly placed on more subdued accents like gold waist leaf belts that help create the hourglass silhouette or golden pumps which amp up the luxurious allure of the new Zuhair Murad dresses.
Though for the most part the Zuhair Murad couture spring 2020 line focused on bringing classy ensembles that can easily be worn by women of different ages, there was no shortage of stunning pieces with a pronounced sultry vibe. Cleverly placed sheer panels, high slits or low necklines amped up the sexy vibe of the label’s new creations. The label ended the show on a high note, with a show-stopping bridal gown.
