Eat to Live Diet

Recommended for dieters who failed to lose weight with other plans, the Eat to Live diet is an aggressive plant based diet that its creator, Dr. Joel Fuhrman, has used on patients whose life depended on fast weight loss. Discover the basics of Eat to Live, with weight loss program that’s faster than most diets and decide if it’s the right diet for you.

“This guide is not for someone who wants to lose those last 10 pounds or fit into her wedding dress; this is a serious undertaking for dieters whose umpteen previous efforts have failed and whose health is endangered”, explained Dr. Joel Fuhrman.

Eat to Live Diet Basics

The core concept of the Eat to Live diet is the formula Health=Nutrients/Calories. Eat to Live weight loss is based on two different plans: a very aggressive vegetarian diet for 6 weeks and a more moderate one, with a limited intake of animal products.

Unlimited Foods, Limited Foods and Off-Limit Foods

Using a meal plan that only restricts certain portions, the Eat to Live diet includes some foods free of any portion control, limited foods and completely forbidden foods.

Most raw vegetables are included on the Unlimited foods list for the Eat to Live weight loss plan range from beans to tofu, mushrooms, peppers and eggplants. Starchy vegetables are included in the Limited Foods list of the Eat to Live diet, along with whole grains – only one cup per day of one or the other.

Off-Limit Foods include most dairy products and animal products for both diet plans, along with fruit juice and dried fruit.

Vegan Dieting and Plant Based Dieting

Aggressive weight loss can be achieved through the completely vegetarian meal plan, while the second plant based diet that includes animal products is a good option for moderate weight loss and it includes dairy like skim milk and chicken.

On the vegetarian meal plan, that lasts only 6 weeks, dieters are encouraged to consume large portions of raw and cooked vegetables in order to get the necessary nutrients without the excess calories found in animal products.

Eat to Live Weight Loss Pros and Cons

The extreme form of the diet, the vegetarian plan, is truly only recommended to people whose life is in danger if they don’t lose weight fast. Severe restrictions in both plans make this a less ideal choice for dieters who want a more balanced plan with more food groups.
