Kate Upton, American model and actress, is best known for her appearances in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, where she was featured on the cover in both 2020 and 2020.
The 21 year model has already appeared in two Hollywood productions and her future as a model seems guaranteed. But how does she keep herself in such great shape? Find out more about the diet and workout regime that help Kate Upton keep her body bikini ready.
Kate Upton’s Measurements
Born in Michigan and raised in Florida, Kate Upton has a height of 5 ft 10 in (178 cm) and weight of only 130 pounds (59 kg). The blonde blue-eyed beauty has almost ideal measurements of 34-29-36 inch and wears a bra size of 34D.
After starting modelling at the age of only 15, Kate Upton is one of the very few models to appear on the cover of the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue for two consecutive years. The previous model who achieved this honor is Tyra Banks, featured on the cover of the Swimsuit Issue in 1996 and 1997.
Kate Upton’s Diet
The blonde beauty claims she doesn’t follow any strict diet, but her personal trainer, Justin Gelband, says she followed the Blood Type Diet to get ready for her Sports Illustrated shoots.
According to multiple interviews, the one thing Kate Upton always avoids is read meat and the things she loves but doesn’t eat too much of include french fries, cupcakes and ice-cream.
Maintaining a good workout regime means Kate Upton needs a lot of protein and she gets that from alternative sources. Oatmeal and salads are amongst her most frequent meals.
The Blood Type Diet, based on Peter D’Adamo’s book “Eat Heal 4 Your Type” outlines special dietary guidelines based on your blood type, but the medical community hasn’t acknowledged any straight forward connection between the two.
Kate Upton’s Workout
Using Justin Gelband’s ModelFIT workout philosophy, the Kate Upton workout is focused on up to 10 exercises in a circuit with up to a minute rest between all of them.
“Kate is one in a million! She always puts in a whole-hearted effort to her workouts and is always ready to work. She would put in seven days a week if I let her! She knows how to get it done and is so humble, sweet yet tough, and educated at the same time”, explained her personal trainer to Shape.com.
The different exercises in the Kate Upton workout routine are focused on specific areas and include a warm up on the treadmill, followed by kickboxing, rope skipping and using weights and elastic bands to increase muscle mass.
