The 3-day Fruit Flush diet is an easy and tasty method of losing unwanted pounds, and detoxing your body. It was created by clinical nutritionist Jay Robb and involves eating fruit every two hours, drinking protein shakes, eating veggies, and lean protein foods.
“During the 3-Day Fruit Flush, your system is relieved of the digestive burden of eating other foods and can clean out its system while burning fat because fruit is nature’s perfect cleansing food”, says the author of the Fruit Flush diet.
Fruit Flush Diet Menu
The Fruit Flush diet might be one of the most effective detox diets out there, simply because it lasts for only 3 days and provides a hefty dose of healthy nutrients.
Here’s a sample of Fruit Flush diet menu:
Day 1
On the first day, you will prepare for the actual Fruit Flush diet that takes place on day 2 and 3. You will have to start drinking protein shakes at 8 a.m. and make sure you sip the last one at 6 p.m. During this time, you have to drink a protein shake every two hours.
A suitable Jay Robb Fruit Flush Diet protein shake should weight 6 ounces and should not contain the following: calcium caseinate, casein, sodium caseinate, fructose, aspartame, sugar, sucrose, artificial flavors, artificial colors, acesulfame potassium.
After every protein shake, you should drink 8-12 ounces of water.
For dinner (served at 6 p.m.) you can have 3 to 6 cups of raw veggies. Use 1-2 tablespoons of olive oil as dressing, and add some lemon or lime, as well. Finish with 3 to 6 ounces of egg whites or lean meat.
Days 2 and 3
Days 2 and 3 make the actual Fruit Flush diet. During this time, you should eat one serving of fresh fruits every two hours, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Drink 8-12 ounces of water one hour after eating fruits.
Dinner should consist of a vegetable salad, with olive oil and lemon dressing. Remember that, although you may add the veggies of your choice, it is best that your salad has a generous amount of leafy greens.
