The third H&M Conscious Exclusive collection modeled by Andreea Diaconu highlights a glamorous facet of eco-conscious dressing. The Swedish retailer has focused on creating interesting ensembles with an elegant twist. In fact according to Catarina Midby, head of design for H&M Conscious Collection, celebrities were the ones that drove the demand for the new line: “We knew we had an opportunity to influence Hollywood and prove that you can wear something great for the environment without compromising taste,” she told Racked LA.
Though a significant part of the new H&M Conscious Collection 2020 is dedicated to modern ensembles with an elegant twist, the bohemian vibe we spotted in the label’s previous lines for spring/summer 2020 is still one of the dominant vibes as gracious flamenco dancers and the Spanish culture served as inspiration from the new creations.
The limited edition lineup includes pieces made with organic cotton and silk, vegetable tanned leather items, gowns made from 100% recycled polyester and even cool accessories made from recycled plastic beads.
From gorgeous dresses with distinguishable romantic vibe to chic palazzo pants and statement embroidered jackets, the label brings a variety of thought-provoking items worth analyzing a little closer. Though the new line offers several gorgeous pieces featuring abstract prints, monochrome pieces are the label’s main focus as the label prefers using attention grabbing accessories as the main focal points.
Among the most interesting accessories from the new line are a gorgeous shoulder piece made from recycled plastic, embellished mules, simple masculine-inspired flat leather shoes, statement earrings or chic headbands. The new H&M Exclusive collection will be sold online and and at 150 select H&M stores worldwide on April 10 for prices between $17 and $549. Select pieces from the new line will also be sold on yoox.com on Amber Valletta’s Master & Muse section.
As this year’s spokesperson for the H&M Conscious line, the actress highlighted the opportunities the new H&M line provides. ”As consumers we need to buy better. H&M has a great opportunity to inform so many people and raise awareness. As a global company they can really make an impact and I wanted to come out and support the brand I am working for.”
