Based on the nail bed, nail shape can vary from one individual to another. If the nail bed is wider and shorter, you should opt for square nails, but make sure you keep the edges round. On the other hand, if you have a big and long nail bed, it is preferable to choose a square shape slightly rounded at the corners.
A square shape is flattering if the lunula is squared and the length should be chosen proportionally to the length of the nail bed. For nails with long and narrow nail bed, it is more appropriate to select a pointed shape. However, if the lunula is square and the nail bed is long, opt for square nails with rounded edges.
