Beauty inspiration can come from the most unexpected sources as various retailers have shown by now. After the success of the Pirates of the Caribbean nail polish collection, OPI is trying a similar strategy for the nail polish collection, The Muppets Trendsetter, which will be released before the holiday season, which might prove to be a serious competitor for the Kardashain Kollection, also set to be released in November.
Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director explains the main reasons behind the theme choice by saying: “OPI is so excited to work with Disney to celebrate this long-awaited movie release. Not only do The Muppets characters inspire fun, bright and joyful colors, the fashionable Miss Piggy lends her name to three high-shine pink-based hues, ranging from bold red flecked with silver to a multi-dimensional strawberry shade.”
The collection is divided into two mini-collections, one called the The Muppets Reds & Neutrals which includes Animal-istic, Meep-Meep-Meep OPI Nail Lacquer, Wocka Wocka!, Pepe’s Purple Passion, Designer… de Better!, Warm & Fozzie OPI nail lacquers and the other one named The Muppets Glitters, which contains Rainbow Connection,Excuse Moi!, Gone Gonzo!, Fresh Frog of Bel Air, Divine Swine OPI Nail Lacquer and Gettin’ Miss Piggy With It! nail lacquers. Here are the twelve shades along with the memorable catch phrases with which the brand helps us remember them easier:
