Summer is just around the corner, but are you full prepared to combat the heat and protect your skin against the harmful UV ray? Today, I’m sharing with you my top 5 summer must haves that every makeup junkie should have in their makeup bags.
1. Sun Screen
It is important to protect your skin against the harmful effects of UV rays on the skin. This is to avoid you from having sunburn. Also, as per recent studies, UV exposure can lead to photoaging on one’s skin.
I personally prefer using a sun screen that is made for children because it automatically means that the formulation is specifically made for sensitive skin.
2. Lip Balms
Lip balms helps moisturize your lips and protects it from sunburn as well. There are a lot of lip balms out in the market that has SPF so it’s best to pick up those to get extra protection from the sun.
3. Powder
We still want to look pretty in our photos, but it’s really unnecessary to pack on those makeup products on your face. For this summer, your best friend a powder, either compact or loose is fine. You just have to pick up something that matches your skin tone to give you enough coverage if you want to hide some blemishes that you have. If you have oily or oily/combination skin, it’s best to find a powder that gives off a matte finish to control oils especially in your t-zone.
4. Brow Pencil/Brow Kit
Even though you’re not wearing a full face makeup this summer season, you have no excuse not to do your brows! It is important to groom and work on our brows because it is the one that frames our faces.
5. Lipstick
To finish off your whole look, be bold and daring this summer by wearing pinks or coral shade lipsticks.
These are just some of my must haves this summer, and maybe my makeup routine as well! Being a girl who lives in a country with temperature rising up to 35°C, I can’t afford to wear a full face makeup because I can guarantee that no matter how much I prime and lock in my makeup, it will just slide and melt off my face.
