We stumbled upon the brand’s spring/summer 2020 lookbook and had to show it to you gorgeous dolls. Oh, but are you fashionistas ready for some seriously cool pieces? Well, just check out ‘The Impressionist Jeans’! The new MiH Jeans collection also includes three new washes of the Bonn Jean that are a bit more abstract than the average. These stunners were named after being created, rather than before. According to the label’s Head of Design they didn’t know what effects they were going to get, and when the jeans came out of the wash, the names were immediately obvious.
The result? The Monet jean looked like “The Artist’s Garden at Giverny”, so fresh and bright and subtle all at once. The Pollock wash is more moody, with surprising colour combinations, while the L.K. Wash was slightly harder to name. “I was most reminded of Lee Krasner, who is obviously slightly less immediately well known. We toyed with calling the wash Rothko, but we really liked the idea of having a woman artist included in the series,” the Head of Design explained.
