The second half of Paris Fashion Week spring 2020 brings the creations of some of the most influential fashion labels of the moment. It seems that great labels do think alike as the influences we’ve seen so far in the other fashion capitals are also reflected in different ways here. Sportswear accents, Japanese influences and abstract prints defined some of the coolest looks of these collections:
Paris Fashion Week Spring 2020: Boold Patterns at Celine
Minimalism at Celine? Not this time, as creative director Phoebe Philo, decided to go in a new bold direction, taking inspiration from street art, embracing bold prints and blending them with tribal and artisanal concepts for a unique new style perspective. Even with the new-found love for bold prints and patterns, the minimalistic sensibilities that made the label one of the most beloved labels of the moment were still reflected shape-wise.

Paris Fashion Week Spring 2020: Chic & Feminine at Chloe
Femininity and sensuality were the keywords at the Chloe spring 2020 show. Designer Clare Waight Keller, proved once again that she understands exactly what her customer want: polished, casual chic pieces with a sultry vibe. The Chloe spring 2020 creations have become bolder than before in the sense that there are many more sheer accents than before. Even so, the creative director focused on keeping her new creations “soft and wearable at the same time,” so the label’s fans don’t need to worry about finding overly bold options. Paris Fashion Week Spring 2020: Africa & Japan at Givenchy
Riccardo Tisci took inspiration from the African and Japanese cultures for the Givenchy spring 2020 collection. The African influences were reflected through draping while the Japanese influences were reflected both at a conceptual level, “fragility” as the designer put it and shape-wise, with kimono-inspired pieces. The designer opted for a neutral color palette for the most part. Jersey dresses, cool flat sandals and feathered capes were some of the highlights of the show. Paris Fashion Week Spring 2020: Origami & 3D at John Galliano
Bill Gaytten also found the Japanese culture to be a rich source of inspiration. However, unlike Tisci, he made good use of the concept of Origami, focusing on boxy shapes with cool futuristic and sporty vibes. Aside from the eye-catching combos and the cool shapes, the vibrant color palette, which focused mostly around neons is the one that truly makes the new options stand out. Paris Fashion Week Spring 2020: Sporty & Feminine Stella McCartney
Sporty vibes blended with feminine accents once again in the Stella McCartney spring 2020 collection. Combining ladylike elegance, sporty vibes, prints and sheer accents can quickly backfire, however this is definitely not the case in the new line, which abounds in versatile ensembles with a cool feminine touch.
