There are various cremes on the market that might help you deal with this problem however, if you are skeptic about their efficiency or you would rather use home remedies instead there are various alternatives you should consider. Vitamin E has proven to be quite effective in diminishing stretchmarks so using vitamin E capsules for homemade stretchmarks creams is advisable. Here are a few recipe you might want to try:

Cocoa butter cream Cocoa butter is a natural remedy that has been used extensively to diminish stretch marks. Cocoa butter is an excellent choice for those who want a smooth, soft skin as it is intensely hydrating.

For an anti stretchmarks cream using cocoa butter you will need: a cup of cocoa butter, 2 teaspoons of vitamin E oil, 2 tablespoons of wheat germ oil as well as 4 tablespoons of grated beeswax. Put all the ingredients in a small saucepan and heat them until the beeswax is melted. Let the mixture cool down a bit and then store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Use this cream daily as consistency is the key to good results.

Avocado cream For this cream you will need to use a ripe avocado, 4 tbs of olive oil, 4 tbs of aloe vera gel, 6 vitamin E capsules and 5 vitamin E capsules. Adding a few drops of liquid zinc is optional. Put all the ingredients in a blender and mix them until you get a smooth paste. Apply the mixture on the affected areas every day for 30 minutes and then rinse it of with lukewarm water. If you want to be able to use this mixture for several days adding a little lemon juice to the mixture will help preserve the ingredients better. Keep the mixture in the fridge.

Shea butter Rich in vitamin A, shea butter can be used in combination with herbal oils to moisturize and tone the skin. Lavender, rosemary, peppermint or mandarin oil can be added to the mixture for a stronger effect. However, it should be noted that rosemary and peppermint oil are best to be avoided during pregnancy. When using essential oils it is best to remember that a little can go a long way, so make sure to avoid overuse.

Other solutions that can speed up the fading process when it comes to stretchmarks are regular exfoliation sessions and increasing your zinc intake. The importance of regular exfoliation in relation to skin cell renewal is well known. Zinc, on the other hand, can help tighten the skin as it is a mild astringent. In addition, zinc is an important element in the production of collagen. Natural zinc food sources are: oysters, wheat germ, sesame, pumpkin seeds or peanuts. Including as many of these foods in your diet on a regular basis is a healthy, inexpensive solution you can try.
