Are you a hopeless romantic? What is this thing called love? How do we express love? What does love mean to you? When it comes to this otherworldly feeling, there are endless questions and numerous definitions people have. Starting January 25 you have the opportunity to express it and show it in a rather unique way through the new Tiffany & Co. ‘True Love In Pictures’ campaign. You can upload your own pictures signifying your own vision of love on the jeweler’s What Makes True Love interactive microsite and via iPhone App.
The Sartorialist and well-known street-style photographer, Scott Schuman and his girlfriend, blogger Garance Doré, have been taking pictures of couples in New York and Paris and posting them on the web site. “I love this project Scott and I did for Tiffany. Mostly because I love working with Scott, but also because it’s just so romantic: the idea was to photograph couples during moments that evoked the love of Tiffany,” Doré wrote on her blog.
‘What Makes Love True’ has four sections. First, there is ‘Love Stories’ where couples reveal how romance unfolded. Next, there is ‘Tiffany’s New York’ where Tiffany & Co. offers wonderful places to explore together in this amazing city. In the section ‘The Art of Romance’ you can discover films and music for the heart, and tips to love by, while in ‘Love is Everywhere’ you are invited to add your photos, share a special story, or send a note.
What is this funny and sudden feeling you get when an attractive stranger gives you a smile unexpectedly? Well, we all know it feels good but can we define love? Impossible and complicated you say? “It was true love when you read to me for the first time. “You’re my true love because no one knows me better than you do.” “You’re my true love because we can blissfully walk for miles, never having to speak a word to one another.” These are three of the texts you can see underneath the photos that are already uploaded on whatmakeslovetrue.com and which prove us that every story is unique.
Perhaps you stole a kiss at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, or took a romantic stroll in Central Park? The new Tiffany & Co. ‘What Makes Love True’ project gives you the opportunity to share those special places that captured your love for each other by clicking the Share Your Love button on the map.
What do you feel when you love someone? This beautiful campaign reveals the practical part of love rather than the theoretical one. It’s about real-life videos, stories and curated customer content mixed with romantic movies and songs. It’s about all those little things we do for someone, the attention and time we give to the people we love. It’s about love expression. “It was fun thinking about the small, tender gestures that a couple offers to each other – which are really the fuel that keeps a relationship special. I love that Garance makes my oatmeal for me in the morning while I run out to get our coffee. They’re both just simple small acts but they make life happy,” Schuman shared on The Sartorialist.
Consumers will be able to submit their photos via the site or through their phones using the dedicated hashtag #truelovepictures on Instagram. To add to the customer-curated trend, Tiffany is setting up photobooths in selected stores around the world so that consumers can come in and have their pictures taken with a chance to be selected to appear in True Love in Pictures. Therefore, it’s your time to define the undefinable!
