Easy Caesar Salad Recipe

Ingredients

Salad:

1 large egg

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce

3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

1 medium garlic clove, crushed

1 pinch salt

1/2 teaspoon ground pepper

1 1/2 teaspoons anchovy paste

1 teaspoon capers

1 teaspoon Dijon mustard

1/3 cup virgin olive oil

2 medium heads of romaine lettuce

1/3 cup Parmesan grated cheese

Croutons:

2 large garlic cloves

Pinch of salt

3 tablespoons virgin olive oil

2 cups French baguette slices cut up into 1/2 inch cubes

For preparing the croutons you will need to crush the garlic using a knife or a garlic press then make a mixture of garlic, oil and salt. Slice up the baguette into 1/2 cube and add the croutons to the mixture. Leave up to 10 minutes. Combine the Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, garlic, salt and pepper, anchovy, mustard and capers. Bring water to boil and then add the egg. If you leave the egg for 45 seconds, the egg will be coddled. If you like it cooked, leave it for about 5 minutes.

Add the egg to the ingredients and whisk well. Then, gradually add the oil, mixing continuously to make sure the mixture is well emulsified. Next, add teared romaine lettuce, croutons and grated parmesan cheese and mix everything well. Serve immediately.
